Goo Boo Juice This Suff WORKS!!
So I go to the kitchen, phone on playing the reel, and I mix this stuff up.
I did not have ground ginger, but had some fresh root, so I minced it up for the recipe.
The only honey I had was some cheap clover honey, not the best, by far!!
In doing some research about honey, I have learned that Organic, Local, Wildflower Honey is the way to go! Furthermore, Honey does not expire since it has already been digested by the bees to make it honey from pollen from those beautiful flowers. It is also very healthy and sustaining. I read somewhere that though you will be hungry, just a tablespoon of honey can sustain a person for a few days. Now that's so me awesome stuff!!
I digress...
Back to the kitchen...
I dump 1/2 cup honey into a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, a dash of black pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of that ginger I minced up since I did not have the ground.
I prefer fresh, organic spices, as often as possible. they are more potent and flavorful.
Next, I stirred this mix up and gave it a taste. Not bad, considering the ingredients and knowing what each tastes like.
My husband had a rough cough going on at the time, so I gave him a spoonful too. After that childlike icky-face he asked what it was. I told him Goo Boo Juice. LOL I then explained what it was and that since it was all natural, let's give it a try.
The next morning, another spoonful...
By afternoon..... NO MORE COUGH!!!
Fast forward a month. I have now adjusted the recipe to using organic wildflower honey and it tastes much better.
We have friends in from out of town and she has a cough. Her husband mentioned he had talked to the Dr. about it and she should go get it checked out. I offered some Goo Boo Juice to her, of which she took. My husband told her... IT REALLY WORKS!!
The next morning, she comes to me for her daily dose of Goo Boo Juice... said her cough was lessening and wanted the recipe for Goo Boo Juice.
By now, the name has stuck, and the mix has been dubbed Goo Boo Juice!
Think about it like this:
* All natural ingredients
* No trip to the Dr.
* No side effects
* No foreign drugs in your body
Bottom Line... This stuff works!! Tried and true!!
I do heat in microwave for just a bit (probably not good because microwaves suck nutrients out of food), but it is what it is...
Also, I store in the frig in a sealed glass jar.
Lastly, it is best to take with a plastic or wooden spoon, as metal lessens the healing properties of the honey.
The recipe
1/2 C Organic Wildflower Honey
1 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Ginger
1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Pinch Black Pepper
Let me know if you try this and what you think!!
