Crock Pot Taco Meat
I am sure, most of us have tacos on the menu quite often. They are fairly quick and fairly easy.
I have found a great trick to making taco meat.
First, and most importantly, buy 90/10 ground beef to make taco meat this way. Also, my favorite is Aldi's brand Taco seasoning; I like it much better than the other Name brand packets.
Here's the recipe, using the aforementioned.
Crumble up raw 90/10 ground beef in crockpot.
Pour in 1 packet of taco seasoning per pound of ground beef.
Fill empty seasoning packet with water 1 & 1/2 times and pour in crockpot. (repeat for each packet).
Stir mixture well.
Beast thing is, doing it this way, and with 90/10 meat, you do not have to strain the grease!
Turn crockpot on HI and let it cook. Stir fairly often to be sure of good seasoning and right consistency of meat. Cooking this way it will be more like you get at the fast food place.
If dinner to be later, cook on a lower temperature.
Dice up topping and serve as normal.
This way of cooking taco meat is Perfect for Taco Bars.
Enjoy.
Happy Cooking.
