Thanksgiving Day cooking - Day #1
Today is day 1 of your Thanksgiving cooking marathon. Do you have a plan?
If you have been following my blog you can put several posts to good use now.
Check your menu and pull out ingredients for each item you plan to make today. Put them in piles; one for each item.
Which one to do first? Check your recipes. Start with the item with the lowest baking temperature and work your way through moving to next higher temp item next.
Most importantly, use your timer! With so much to get done, that annoying buzzer is truly a blessing.
Extra tips: Do your dishes between each item cooked.
There's nothing worse than having to clean a huge mess after hours of cooking.
Got a couple minutes in the middle? Throw a load of laundry in the washer. Before going to bed, put it in the dryer and it will only need a refresh in the morning.
Doing baking and drying laundry at night helps warm your home in the cooler weather.
Hope these tips help!
